The agreement between real estate management and hospitality

Managing real estate requires finesse, according to Marc Poelmann, director of the commercial property management department (FRIS Investment Care). Tenants determine the value of a property. But how can you ensure that you are always aware of what is going on in your building? In this article, we explain why.

Knowledge is power

Knowing the ins and outs of the people who tenant your building is essential. Being surprised by a rental termination means you are not fully in control. We ensure that you are and remain informed about your property by using smart systems and automation. At FRIS we use, among others, the Yardi system to provide integrated accounting, extensive reports and workflow processes for lease renewals.

Future focus

Forecasts can be made based on data obtained from various tools. This means you will never be confronted with surprises. FRIS uses a tenant retention plan, which ensures numerous contacts with tenants. While automation remains in a support role, personal contact ensures that you know where you stand. 

Create a community

Property management is increasingly moving in the direction of hospitality. Smart tools create the feeling of staying in a hotel.  FRIS uses its own 'Meet Amy' app for this purpose, which enables tenants to easily report the need for repairs. Its other functions, for example, are calling a taxi or having clothes dry-cleaned. This increases tenants' comfort as well as the landlord's security. People are likely to stay in a place they like - for a long time.
