1 September 2017 - The valuation department of FRIS and the Health-care related Property Valuation Institute [Taxatie Instituut Zorgvastgoed] have joined forces to further put health-care related property on the map and to improve the quality of health-care related valuations. Together, they meet the increasing demand for professional valuations of health-care related property such as residential care home centres, health-care centres and hospitals.

“The Dutch population is rapidly aging. In the next 20 years, the 80+ population will rise to 1.6 million. This means that the need for suitable housing for seniors will further increase in the coming years. Above all, a large part of the stock is functionally unsuitable and technically outdated, consequently needing to be transformed or redeveloped. FRIS contributes toward the process of transformation, realisation and management of suitable home residential care complexes. “Valuing and advising play an important role in that process" says FRIS managing director Hans Peter Fris.

The Health-care related property Valuation Institute [Taxatie Instituut Zorgvastgoed] has a unique position on the market. It is specialised in the valuation of health-care related property and is not affiliated with an estate agent’s. Among others, the Institute performs valuations for investors and financers, health-care related institutes and businesses, government authorities and supervisory bodies. The Institute is furthermore in possession of data and market information and aims to share this knowledge with the sector. This knowledge is necessary with a view to keeping up with the developments in health-care and health-care related property and to be able to contribute toward a new professional market. “Cooperation with FRIS follows from our philosophy of setting up a broad-based cooperation network in this specialist segment”, say Hans Juffer and Kees Trimp, director and valuer at the Health-care related property Valuation Institute.
